If your dog is a sensitive soul, you need someone who truly understands them.

I’m Tracie, a Dog Behaviour and Training Consultant with 15+ years’ experience living with, supporting, and training dogs who don’t fit the “easy” category—rescue dogs, reactive dogs, older dogs, anxious dogs, and those who simply need a deeper level of care.

I provide professional, Behaviour-informed house-sitting across the UK and beyond, keeping dogs in the safety of their own home while ensuring their routines, needs, and comfort are fully safeguarded.

From rescue dogs adjusting to their new lives, to senior dogs needing gentle attention, or reactive dogs who thrive on structure and understanding, I’m here to give your beloved companion the care they deserve.

My job is simple: reduce their stress, support their well-being, and give you absolute peace of mind while you’re away…

About me

  • Tracie looked after our very fearful Romanian rescue dog, Maddie, (and two house rabbits) for two weeks recently and from the very first phone call she was fantastic. It has been a tough journey with our girl and we have a long way to go to build her confidence but Tracie was so supportive and reassuring from the beginning. Tracie stayed with us for a couple of days before we left on holiday so that she could get to know Maddie and her routine. It was great to be able to talk to Tracie about some of the challenges we have with Maddie and she was so patient and knowledgeable and talked through with us how we could approach things to help Maddie. While we were on holiday, Tracie regularly kept us updated on how things were going, which was lovely. One area Tracie had worked on while we were away was helping Maddie to just relax in the garden and in the house and the positive effects were very obvious straight away when we got home. We wholeheartedly recommend Tracie and can’t wait to use her services again next time we go away..

  • What can I say about Tracie that truly explains how grateful I am to have found her? From our first phone conversation, I knew she ‘got it.’ She understood everything about my Romanian rescue, Alex. When she looked after him, everything went so smoothly. Alex, who is selectively reactive and needs his boundaries respected, trusted her completely. By the end of her stay, he even sought out affection from her! I can’t recommend Tracie enough for anyone with a sensitive soul.

  • It was our first time using Tracie and it was the best experience we were able to switch off for the first time properly in years. Not only did she take wonderful care of our dog she also left our house immaculate! The care and attention she provided her was nothing short of a loving owner but with the added bonus of a behaviourist too. She gave us amazing recommendations for her health and well-being. Thanks Tracie, Lolly misses you!

  • A huge thank you to Tracie for her continued care and support of our lovely sensitive soul Renee...and us too! I can't imagine leaving her with anyone else to be honest. Tracie has taken so much time to understand in detail Ren's daily routines, habits, likes and behaviours in order to keep life calm and familiar for her while meeting her needs. Her gentle and patient approach, based on her considerable knowledge and experience, while 'listening' to Ren is everything a sensitive soul needs. As always there have been new ideas for us too. The daily updates and pictures showed us what a great time they were having and we have come back to a very happy girl. I can't recommend Tracie highly enough, needless to say we have booked in our trips for next year, with confidence, already! Thank you again 🐶 💕

  • Tracie has been looking after my dogs when we go away for years. We book our holidays around her availability, as there is absolutely no one else I would trust with my dogs. When she turns up at our house, they are so happy to see her. Her vast experience and genuine love for dogs’ wellbeing, mentally and physically, ensures that each dog‘s needs is cared for individually. They are contented in her care, the regular photos she sends show smiling, happy dogs. Tracie loves them like they are her own. She’s back here again next week, and October, and she’s been here several times this year already. We cannot recommend Tracie highly enough. She is kind, caring and extremely highly qualified and she loves her job. This is perfect dog care!

  • We couldn’t have asked for a better person than Tracie at Sensitive Soul Dog Sitting to look after our Romanian rescue, Libero. From the moment we got in touch, it was clear how experienced and genuinely knowledgeable she is—especially when it comes to foreign rescues and the specific challenges they can bring. Libero isn’t always the easiest dog to win over, but Tracie had a calm, intuitive approach that immediately put him at ease. She understood his body language, respected his boundaries, and created an environment where he could truly relax. We came home to a happy, settled dog—which says it all. If you’re looking for someone who gets sensitive souls, who takes the time to really connect with your dog, and who treats them with the gentleness and care they deserve, Tracie is it. I can’t recommend her enough.

  • Tracie came and looked after our two boys while we were away on holiday for two weeks. I was absolutely dreading our holiday before Tracie was recommended to us. I still had reservations but they soon disappeared. Right from before we went on holiday Tracie wanted to get to know our boys, their routines and any little quirks they had. I shared videos of our walks and filled in a form that covered every aspect of our dog’s daily routine. While we were away Tracie kept us updated with videos and pictures. On our return home we came back to a clean and tidy house and recommendations from Tracie on training ideas, other food and treat options from observations she had made regarding my boys gut health. Cannot thank Tracie enough and will definitely be having her to stay again. Highly recommend this lovely lady!!
